Special Needs Plan
A Special Needs Plan (SNP) is a type of Medicare Advantage plan that limits membership to people with specific needs. The three types serve people who are dual eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (D-SNP), live in an institution (I-SNP), or have certain chronic conditions (C-SNP). Benefits are tailored to the group the plan serves.
