Medicare Agent Scout

What the Verified badge means

Profiles showing Verified Licensed Agent have had their license details reviewed by our team.

What we check

  • The agent provided a National Producer Number (NPN) and state license details.
  • Our team manually reviews those details against public licensing records for the states the agent lists.
  • The profile’s licensed states match what we could confirm at the time of review.

What the badge does not mean

  • It is not an endorsement, ranking, or recommendation of the agent.
  • It does not mean the agent is affiliated with Medicare, CMS, or any government agency — no agent is.
  • It is not a guarantee of carrier appointments, plan availability, or service quality.
  • Licenses can change after our review; we re-review periodically and when issues are reported.

Check any agent yourself

You can independently confirm any insurance agent’s license through your state’s Department of Insurance website, or look up their NPN at nipr.com. We encourage it — an honest agent will never mind.

See something wrong?

Every profile has a “Report incorrect info” link, or you can contact us. Reports go to our review team, and listings that fail re-verification lose the badge or are suspended.

Unverified profiles aren’t necessarily unlicensed — verification is a review step that newer listings may not have completed yet. Agents: complete verification from your dashboard.
