Medigap

Medigap, also called Medicare Supplement Insurance, is private insurance that helps pay costs Original Medicare leaves to you, such as certain deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Medigap plans are standardized by letter, so a plan of the same letter offers the same core benefits from any company, though premiums vary. Medigap works alongside Original Medicare and does not include prescription drug coverage.

This is general education, not personalized advice, and plan details change every year. For all of your options, contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) at shiphelp.org.
